    • Οι εκδόσεις giganto ιδρύθηκαν στις αρχές του 2003 από τον Τάσο Παπαϊωάννου. Ειδικεύονται στην έκδοση comics από Έλληνες και ξένους δημιουργούς. Μέχρι στιγμής έχουν εκδώσει τους εξής τίτλους comics:

      Subart Comics (ανθολογία, #1-3), Γεννήτρια: Victor Van Dread (του Βασίλη Λώλου), Mistress (Ανθολογία comics από Ελληνίδες δημιουργούς), Φανζίν (πρόγραμμα μουσικών παραστάσεων Φοίβου Δεληβοριά και Ζακ Στεφάνου), Populart (του Τάσου Παπαϊωάννου, #1-2 + special), Τούρτα (των Ηλία Κυριαζή και Τάσου Παπαϊωάννου), Ροζblack (των Ege + Firzb, #1), Common Comics (του Παναγιώτη Πανταζή, #1-3), Blast Comics (ανθολογία με κόμικς δημιουργούς από Ελλάδα, Αμερική και Τουρκία), Krak Komiks (του Τάσου Μαραγκού, #1-2), KuroShiro (του Ταξή, volume.1 | 2004 - 2008), Τώρα! (των Παναγιώτη Πανταζή και Τάσου Παπαϊωάννου) και Noisebook (του Αναστάση Τσιάτσιου).

      Τα comics των εκδόσεων giganto, θα τα βρείτε στα ενημερωμένα βιβλιοπωλεία, καθώς και σε όλα τα βιβλιοπωλεία των αλυσίδων "Παπασωτηρίου" και "Public".

    • Giganto books started as a company in the beginning of 2003, by Tassos Papaioannou. Giganto books publishes only comic books and artbooks, from Greek and foreign artists. So far the comics that have been published are:

      Subart Comics (anthology, #1-3), Generator: Victor Van Dread (by Vasilis Lolos), Mistress (anthology with Greek women artists), Fanzine (program for the live shows of Foivos Delivorias and Zak Stefanou), Populart (by Tassos Papaioannou, #1-2 + special), Cake (by Ilias Kiriazis and Tassos Papaioannou), Pinkblack (by Ege + Firzb, #1), Common Comics (by Panayiotis Pantazis, #1-3), Blast Comics (anthology with comic artists from Greece, America and Turkey), Krak Komiks (by Tassos Maragos, #1-2), KuroShiro (by Taxis, volume.1 | 2004 - 2008), Now! (by Panayiotis Padazis and Tassos Papaioannou) and Noisebook (by Anastassis Tsiatsios).

      You can find the comics of giganto books, at comic-shops and also at "Papasotiriou" and "Public" bookstores.

    Με ενημέρωσαν από την παραγωγή ότι τα νέα comics θα δωθούν σήμερα στο "funked" και αύριο (Παρασκευή 11/04/2008) στο "yourspace".

    Λόγω έλλειψης σύνδεσης internet στο αρχηγείο της giganto books, το site είχε να ανανεωθεί κάτι χρόνια. Αυτό δεν θα ξανασυμβεί.

    Θα προσπαθήσουμε να κάνουμε catch-up σε όλα τα νέα που συνέβηκαν τους τελευταίους μήνες (είναι πολλά και σημαντικά). Κάνουμε λοιπόν νέα αρχή μιας και σε λίγες μέρες ξεκινάει το Comicdom Con Athens 2008, οπού εκεί παρουσιάζουμε 4 ολόφρεσκα comics (common comics #3: gong" του Παναγιώτη Πανταζή, Krak Komiks #2 του Tasmar, KuroShiro volume 1 του Ταξή και Τώρα! των Παναγιώτη Πανταζή και Τάσου Παπαϊωάννου) και 1 καταπληκτικό art-book (Noisebook του Αναστάση Τσιάτσιου). Ελπίζουμε να τα πούμε από κοντά.

    Η giganto έκλεισε 5 χρόνια φέτος και το γιορτάζει πουλώντας στο περιπτερό της ΟΛΑ τα παλαιότερα comics με έκπτωση 50%. Αυτές τις μέρες επισκεφτείτε ξανά το site γιατί θα ανανεώνεται συνεχώς για να υποδεχτεί τα νέα μας comics. Ευχαριστούμε για την συμπαράσταση!

    Due to lack of Internet in our headquarters, the site hasn't been updated for ages. It won't happen again (promise!).

    We'll try to catch up and inform you on all the news of the past months (too many big things have happened). So, it's time for a new start and the timing couldn't be better: In a couple of days, Comicdom Con Athens 2008 starts and Giganto Books is presenting 4 brand new comics (common comics #3: gong by Panayiotis Padazis, Krak komiks #2 by Tasmar, KuroShiro volume 1 by Taxis and Tora! by Panayiotis Padazis and Tassos Papaioannou) and one magnificent artbook.     Σήμερα το βράδυ στις 21:00, ο Ηλίας Κυριαζής (Manifesto, Blood Opera, Blast Comics, Τούρτα) και ο Τάσος Παπαϊωάννου (Populart, Τούρτα, εκδότης giganto books) θα είναι καλεσμένοι έως τις 22:00 στην live εκπομπή της Λυδίας, στο MAD TV. Η πρόσκληση έγινε με αφορμή το 12ο Φεστιβάλ Comics της Βαβέλ που ξεκινάει άυριο. Κατά την διάρκεια της εκπομπής θα μοιραστούν πολλά albums: Manifesto, Τούρτα, Blast, Populart και τα ολόφρεσκα Common Comics #2 και Krak Komiks #1. Συντονήστε τους δέκτες σας!

    Ο Τάσος Παπαϊωάννου θα είναι κριτής στον διαγωνισμό HELLBOY που διοργανώνουν οι εκδόσεις Jemma books. Επισκεφτείτε το section "news" του populart για να μάθετε περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες αλλά και για να μεταφερθείτε στο επίσημο site του διαγωνισμού. Η τελευταία ημερομηνία υποβολής των έργων είναι η 20η Ιουνίου 2007. Προλαβαίνετε!!!

    Tassos Papaioannou will be a judge in the HELLBOY contest by Jemma Books. Go to the "news" section of populart to read more and link to the official site of the contest. The last day for participation is the 20th of June 2007. C'mon you can make it!

    Τρία νέα comics από τις εκδόσεις giganto θα παρουσιαστούν στο επερχόμενο 12ο Φεστιβάλ Κόμικς της Βαβέλ (14-17 Ιουνίου 2007, στην Τεχνόπολη Αθηνών, στο Γκάζι). Το #2 τεύχος της σειράς Common Comics του Παναγιώτη Πανταζή, το #1 τεύχος της σειράς Krak Komiks του Tasmar (το #0 τεύχος κυκλοφόρησε στο Comicdom Con τον περασμένο Φεβρουάριο, ως αυτοέκδοση από τον Τάσο Μαραγκό) και τέλος ένα 16-σέλιδο, mini-book Populart Special με τίτλο Happy Birthday To Me! του Τάσου Παπαϊωάννου, που θα μοιραστεί δωρεάν σε όποιον αγοράσει κάποιο τεύχος του Populart, το Σάββατο 16 Ιουνίου 2007, ημέρα γενεθλίων του δημιουργού.

    Φέτος στο φεστιβάλ της Βαβέλ θα μπορείτε να βρείτε τα comics των εκδόσεων giganto στον πάγκο της κεντρικής αίθουσας.

    Το site για το Krak Komiks έχει ανέβει στο site της giganto και το site του Common Comics έχει ξανασχεδιαστεί για το #2 τεύχος. Eπίσης στο site του Populart , στο section "issues" ανέβηκαν και οι 15 εικονογραφήσεις από το επερχόμενο Populart Special: Happy Birthday To Me! Διαβάστε επίσης στα news του site για την κλήρωση που θα γίνει την Κυριακή 17 Ιουνίου. Επισκεφτείτε τα!

    Three new comics by giganto books are gonna be presented in the upcoming 12th Babel Comics Festival (14-17 June 2007, at Technopolis Athinon, Gazi). The #2 issue of the series Common Comics by Panagiotis Padazis, the #1 issue of the brand new series Krak Komiks by Tasmar (the #0 issue of Krak Komiks was selfpublished by Tassos Maragos for Comicdom Con Athens 2007 last February) and last a 16-pages mini-book Populart special with title Happy Birthday To Me! by Tassos Papaioannou, that it will be given for free with each purchase of an issue of his series Populart, only on Saturday 16 of June, creator's birthday.

    This year at the festival you can find the comics of giganto books, in the stand inside the main exhibition.

    The site of Krak Komiks is now available through giganto's main site and also the site for Common Comics is been redesigned for the upcoming #2 issue. Also in the "issues" section of Populart site, all 15 illustrations from the upcoming Populart Special: Happy Birthday To Me! are online. Pay them a visit!

    Τα εξώφυλλα των comics της giganto ανέβηκαν στο site. Προς το παρόν, τα μόνα links που λειτουργούν είναι για το blast comics και το populart. Σύντομα θα λειτουργεί και αυτό για το common comics.

    The covers of all the giganto books' comics are up on the net. For the time being the only links that work, are those for blast comics and populart. Soon enough the link for common comics will work, too!

    Σήμερα ανέβηκε το νέο site των εκδόσεων giganto! Το site βρίσκεται under construction. Πολύ σύντομα θα λειτουργούν οι σελίδες για όλα τα comics των εκδόσεων giganto.

    Today, the new site of giganto books is up! The site is under construction. Soon enough, each of every comic-title by giganto will have each own page.
